Is there a legal definition of dark chocolate?
The FDA standard uses the names sweet, semisweet and bittersweet rather than dark. Sweet chocolate needs at least 15 percent chocolate liquor, and semisweet or bittersweet needs at least 35 percent. Trader Joe's prints "semi-sweet dark chocolate" on its tub.
